Traverse City Fourth of July: Beaches and fireworks! Spend your 4th of July in Traverse City for an all-American holiday.
During the summer there is no better place to be than Traverse City and on the Fourth of July is no exception. Although there are no official Independence Day activities planned for during the day there is not a lack of American spirit anywhere! If it's beautiful, hit up one of the many beaches that Traverse City has to offer. Clinch park has sandy stretches for frisbee and nets for volleyball. Bring your paddleboard and cruise the calm waters of West Grand Traverse Bay.
In the evening grab a blanket and a sweatshirt (it cools off quickly near the water!) and settle down on West End Beach to watch the annual Traverse City fireworks display over West Grand Traverse Bay! TIP: If you want to have a prime spot on the beach then you need to get down to the beach early and stake a claim… the same goes for parking.
