Northern Michigan Events: The Bay View Music Festival has set the bar high with their first week of performances, and continues to get better and better! Located in Bay View, Michigan, the festival runs from June 12-August 12, 2012, and offers a wide variety of musical stylings. This week, both performers bring a little of the big city to Northern Michigan with New York City influences.

From Harlem to Hemingway

On Wednesday, June 20,  attend "From Harlem to Hemingway,"  a unique combination of musical expressions  including Gershwin’s Cuban Overture Jeff Picón's performance of four beautiful Vaughan Williams songs, and Risa Renae Harman’s rendition of several spirituals take you on a remarkable journey.  

Project Trio

Saturday, June 23 2012  8pm Hall Auditorium

Project Trio is a chamber music ensemble unlike any other. Out of Brooklyn, New York, Greg Pattillo, flute, Eric Stephenson, cello, and Peter Seymour, bass, are mixing classical sounds with jazz, hip-hop, and rock. At Bay View, Project Trio will offer a musical repertoire including classical, funk, top 40 hits, and even beat boxing!
