The competition has taken place annually for the last decade, and has featured unique shops and boutiques nationwide. Winners of the competition are chosen from over 100 participants based on their exterior and interior appearance, quality and focus within the advertising department, website design, store biography, and the overall individuality as an entity.
Elizabeth Blair Fine Pearls, located in the downtown district of the lakeside town of Harbor Springs seems to have achieved a perfect score in each category.
