Northern Michigan Events: Live up the arts in Leelanau County this weekend! The Suttons Bay Summer Solstice and Three Men and a Tenor at the Thoreson Farm in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

This Friday, merchants of downtown Suttons Bay keep doors open from 5 until 9 p.m. for the Summer Solstice Walk. Each of the 20 stops feature a local artist, often accompanied by wine from one of Leelanau Peninsula’s many vineyards. Participants receive a punch card that they can have stamped at each store. After acquiring 10 stamps, enter your card in a drawing for a $250 shopping spree at any store that participated in the Art Walk! Saturday night head to the  for an upbeat evening to kick off the summer with the funny and melodious Three Men and a Tenor musical group at the Thoreson Farm in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The event is a part of the Glen Arbor Art Association’s “Here Comes Summer” event and will also feature children’s art activities, a gift basket silent auction, and free Cherry Republic ice cream. Located at Thoreson Farm in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore’s historic Port Oneida district, gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the concert slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. Kid’s activities commence at 5:30 and conclude as the concert begins. Concert tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 4-12. A rain location for the concert only will take place at Glen Lake Schools in Maple City.
