Northern Michigan Attractions: Bald Eagle Release in the skies over Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
The raptor rehabilitation center Wings of Wonder, located near the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, is inviting the public to our first bald eagle release of the year. This is a 12-year-old huge female bald eagle who was admitted sick and with a severely infected foot. She has completely recovered and is now ready to go free once again in Northern Michigan. Everyone is invited to attend this special event in Empire, near the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, which will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Be prompt and bring your camera. Please, no dogs.
