Walls the color of Dijon mustard, Provençal tablecloths with red olives and wheat—the fresh décor at this Northern Michigan restaurant lends a Euro warmth to your March tête à tête. Arrive at this restaurant 20 miles north of Traverse City between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to enjoy a choice of two $15 prix fixe nightly specials (soup, salad, entrée and dessert). Specials change often, but here’s a sample: rack of lamb with bread crumb seasoning and salsa verde of parsley, mint, herbs and olive oil, side of buttermilk mashed potatoes. The early seating pairs perfectly with walking down the block in spring’s evening light to catch a movie at The Bay Theater afterward, Martha says.—J.S.
