The holiday season has come and gone and the winter ski season at Shanty Creek Resorts, a Northern Michigan ski resort located in Bellaire, is in full swing with all of the slopes open and ski deals and festivals during the month of January.
College Week – January 3-7
College week kicks off the New Year this week allowing college students with a valid ID one last winter blast of fun before going back to class. Students will receive exclusive lodging and lift ticket deals starting at just $80 per room/per night.
The Sardine Special – January 8 and 18
The Sardine Special, which is offered twice this month, allows guests to "squeeze as many skiers and riders into a car, truck, or van" and the carload skis/rides at Schuss Mountain for just $100. Silver Streak Week – January 10-14
For senior citizens who enjoy getting out and skiing, make sure to check out the Silver Streak Week this month. During this week, senior’s age 62 and older can ski for FREE Monday – Friday. In addition, the resort is also offering special senior rates on lodging starting at $60 per person/per night.
Police, Firefighters, Military Appreciation Week – January 17-21

Beer & Boards Microbrew Festival – January 22-23
