Attention all women! Are you in need of some personal pampering time, doing some things just for yourself? Camp Dagett on Walloon Lake near Petoskey has the solution: The Camp Daggett Women’s Weekend Retreat being held on October 22-24, 2010.
Sit with your favorite book by a cozy fire with a cup of coffee or tea in hand, experience the magnificent fall colors reflecting on Walloon Lake, enjoy the soothing sounds of the lake and woods, participate in great workshops, and much more.
Guests will be welcomed on Friday October 22 at 6:00 p.m. with a delicious dinner, hear a wellness talk from James Marshall, wind down and prepare for the weekend ahead. On Saturday morning guests can choose from bread making with Mark Neil of Walloon Lake Country Club or a short game golf tips with Jan Shaffer. Local artists host arts and crafts in the afternoon, or you can choose nature walks on the trails, climbing adventures in the Adventure Center or Pilates. Kayaking is available throughout the day. Top off Saturday with a Walloon Lake float boat tour, a fabulous dinner, and stargazing with Mary Adams, book reviews hosted by McLean & Eakin, and late night fireside chats with smores and hot chocolate.
On Sunday there will be relaxing yoga in the sailing pavilion, a nutrition talk with Jen Schaap from Learn Great Foods, or early-bird kayaking. And through it all, great breakfasts, lunches and dinners prepared by a gourmet chef.
