Peterson, of the celebrated Tapawingo Restaurant, will collaborate with Northwestern Michigan College chef instructors to prepare “A (Happy) Clash of Cultures, Tastes and Beers,” reflecting a menu of personality-loaded ethnic foods from all over the world and pair them with the eclectic profile of beers from Right Brain Brewery. The event, created to raise money for scholarships, takes place on Thursday, May 20, 6 p.m. at Lobdell’s Teaching Restaurant, overlooking West Grand Traverse Bay on NMC’s Great Lakes Campus. The evening will feature six beer pairings, including a special beer crafted just for this event by brewmaster John Neidermaier.

Seating is limited; reservations are required.
