NMC’s Great Lakes Culinary Institute and Great Lakes Maritime Academy will both welcome the public and prospective students with open houses in April.
April 10: Great Lakes Culinary Institute -See culinary demonstrations, take a tour of the teaching kitchens and Lobdell’s Teaching Restaurant and talk with chef instructors. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information on the program go to www.nmc.edu/culinary or call (231) 995-1197.
April 17: Great Lakes Maritime Academy – Meet cadets, faculty and staff and tour the Academy, including the deck and engineering simulation systems. 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. The United States Power Squadron will offer two public seminars: Small Boat Maintenance from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Boat Handling from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information on the program go to nmc.edu/maritime or call (231) 995-1200.
