Animal House:March 19-21 Carnival at Boyne Mountain. Northern Michigan’s original ski hill holds the title for bringing the biggest weekend of merrymaking (and mischief) in the Midwest.   Adult costume parties, crazy races, on-hill bashes, and bands rocking into the wee hours of morning all make for a seriously rowdy couple of days.

Where the Wild Things Are:March 20- Krazy Daze at Boyne Highlands. During the day families take partake in a variety of laugh-a-minute events, from a slush cup to silly slalom.  When the sun goes down and the children are tucked into their hotel beds, parents can relive their glory days with bands and beads galore in the resort’s famed Zoo Bar.

National Lampoons—Ski Hill Style:March 27- Mardi Gras at Nub’s Nob.  Filled to the brim with family fun, skiers and snowboarders dress in their costume best and take to the hills for a Crazy Couples race, Pepsi Challenge, and the north’s premier get-wet event, The Soaker Cup.  Summer sounds fill the air as the Petoskey Steel Drum Band performs during the afternoon, and local legend Sean Ryan will be jamming in the pub until close at 6 p.m.
