Valentine’s Day gets a wildly witty sendoff when Advice Goddess Amy Alkon dishes on love, sex and manners, February 11 at the City Opera House in Traverse City. Alkon is the first in the 2010 Traverse City National Writers Series all-star lineup.
Alkon writes a hilarious and psychologically sound syndicated advice column that runs in over 100 newspapers across the U.S. and Canada. Her New York Daily News series won a fist place award in the Southern California Journalism Awards. She has appeared on numerous television and radio shows, including Good Morning America, the Today Show, NPR, CNN, MTV, Entertainment Tonight, Dennis Miller, Politically Incorrect, and Biography Channel where she was featured in "The Advice Minute, with Amy Alkon."
She is author of I See Rude People, One Woman’s Battle to Beat Some Manners Into Impolite Society, and co-author of Free Advice – The Advice Ladies on Love, Dating, Sex, and Relationships.
A reception featuring chocolate and Indian food delights (included) and a cash bar will follow the event. The author’s signed books will also be for sale at the Opera House.
