Porterhouse Productions and Grand Traverse Resort & Spa are teaming up to offer a night of live music, craft beer and winter fun at the first annual Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival, scheduled for Friday, February 12 from 5-10 p.m. on the Resort grounds.

The event will kick off Cherry Capital Winter WonderFest, a weekend-long festival held February 12-14 at locations throughout Traverse City. Festival organizers are creating a “winter wonderland” outside the Resort’s Clubhouse featuring bonfires, free sleigh rides, snow and ice sculptures, and heated tents hosting two music stages and multiple craft beer tasting booths. Nearly 40 breweries from around the country will be featured at the festival, including local favorites such as Short’s Brewery, Right Brain Brewery, Jolly Pumpkin and many more. A full list of participating breweries is available at www.porterhouseproductions.com.

The TC Winter Microbrew & Music Festival will also feature a full lineup of local and national artists, including Euforquestra, an eight piece “Afro-Caribbean-Barnyard-Funk” dance band from Fort Collins, CO, the rockabilly honky-tonk of Delilah DeWylde & The Lost Boys, and local favorites including Levi Britton, The Rachael Davis Band, Steppin’ In It, Joshua Davis, and Grand Traverse Pipes & Drums.

A $25 ticket to the festival includes access to all musical performances, craft beer education, five 7 oz. pours (with additional tokens available for purchase), free sleigh rides, free shuttle service from downtown Traverse City to the Resort and back, and more.

An after-party hosted by Short’s Brewery and the Michigan Brewers Guild will take place at Aerie Restaurant & Lounge, located on the 16th floor of the Resort’s Tower, immediately following the festival from 10 p.m.-2:00 a.m. Short’s will serve their popular local brews as guests enjoy live music and dancing. Local food, unique merchandise and beer gear will be showcased at this special event.

Tickets to the Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival are on sale now at Oryana, Old Town Coffee, North Peak, the Resort’s Lobby Marketplace, and at www.tcbeerfest.com and www.porterhouseproductions.com. Ticket buyers must be over 21.
