Attention, gents: Still haven’t checked off your holiday shopping list? Then grab your fellow giftless dudes and get thee to downtown Traverse City on Thursday, Dec. 17, for a holiday shopping bash catered just for you.

The annual Men’s Night kicks off in downtown T.C. at 5 p.m. and runs til 9 p.m. During the event, stores and restaurants will offer discounts on merchandise, free gift wrapping, refreshments and drinks (yes, beer is on the menu at several locations), as well as advice for men looking to pick up those last-minute gifts.

"Men’s Night makes downtown Traverse City almost look like Chicago, it’s so busy," says Rob Bacigalupi, acting executive director of Traverse City’s Downtown Development Authority. "It’s become a really popular event."

Bacigalupi has participated in past Men’s Nights, and says it’s not only a fun way to spend time with the guys, it’s great for finding gift ideas for the ladies, too.

"For example, Cali’s Cottons—they’re always very helpful in helping guys find something for their wives or girlfriends or sisters," he says. "And the free gift wrapping really helps. Guys aren’t necessarily the best gift wrappers."

Participating businesses include shops and restaurants on Front Street and its neighboring blocks, as well as stores in the Warehouse District. For more information, visit downtowntc.com.
