Executive Chef Eric Nittolo of the acclaimed Boathouse Restaurant in Traverse City is well known for his use of local and organic ingredients in the seasonal menus he prepares for his restaurant. Now Nittolo is teaming up with foodies Chris & Tyler McVety to create a new line of gourmet salts called Beyond the Shaker.

Working in the Boathouse Restaurant on Old Mission Peninsula Nittolo blends the finest organic, sustainable and locally-produced ingredients he can find by hand. He then mixes these ingredients with natural unrefined sea salts which are sourced from around the world to create premium gourmet blends.

The line of two dozen varieties includes the exotic flavors:  Hawaiin Black Lava, Hot Habanero Blend and Hickory Maple Blend.
