SURVEY: Which town throws the best 4th of July celebration? by mynorthmedia | Jun 29, 2009 | Counties, Towns, Uncategorized | 7 comments 7 Comments Anonymous on August 10, 2009 at 9:53 am Alden — I grew up in Frankfort and thought that the fireworks were the best there until I watched the fireworks from the Torch Lake sandbar in Alden. They are spectacular…. Anonymous on July 19, 2009 at 8:44 am Must be the many, many who come to celebrate the 4th in Frankfort have not heard of your survey because their votes would have surpassed anyone elses. If you’ve ever been to Frankfort on this day, you are spoiled for anything else. Anonymous on July 6, 2009 at 11:32 am I personally liked Mackinaw City’s Fireworks. I get the privilege of watching several from the same spot. I most say Mackinaw City’s was the best this year. But I am glad to see that all these locations have fireworks to display there patriotism to our GREAT COUNTRY! Keep up the good work. Love to see them all. Maybe next year I will pick a different display that is better, I can honestly say that I have a different favorite each year. Anonymous on July 3, 2009 at 2:03 pm The Fourth of July is my birthday, so I feel I know who’s best … and every year Northport does a great job with the fireworks. This year we’ll be picnicing on the lawn, listening to the band, and getting a great spot for the Best Fourth of July Celebration in Northern Michigan–Northport’s Fireworks.
