In the March issue of Traverse, Northern Michigan’s Magazine, we presented 46 of the food headliners making this year so delicious, and asked Northern Michigan to vote for their favorite. After a close battle right to the finish with the buffalo meatloaf at Old State Roadhouse in Boyne City, the Smoking Greens sandwich at Serenity Tea Bar and Café claims the bragging rights of 2009’s Best Eat!

Stop in this week at Serenity Tea Bar and Café to give a shout-out to Kerry, Jack and Jill and the rest of the Serenity crew. And try that melty smoked cheddar sandwich with avocado, sunflower seeds, spinach, paper-thin red onion and matcha green tea–infused mayonnaise with a cool, creamy Matcha Mango Latte—it’ll be like a mini-spring break right here in town!
