The 9-year-old daughter of Pleasanton Brick Oven breadmakers, Gerard Grabowski and Jan Shireman, made and peddled enough of these family-recipe cookies at the Traverse City farmers market to buy herself a pony. So Mom and Dad took a cue from their industrious offspring and started selling the treats alongside their organic breads at their new T.C. digs in the former State Hospital fire hall known as Building 66. These clouds of luxurious nutrition are composed of Callebaut Belgian chocolate, robust Korintje cinnamon, organic butter, oats, bananas, olive oil, raisins, sunflower seeds and barely any sugar. Find them in Traverse City at Pleasanton Brick Oven Bakery, 812 Cottage View Dr., 231-941-1964, and Oryana Natural Food Co-Op 260 e. 10th St., Traverse City, 231-947-0191.
