Do you have a reputation around River Country for making the best steak, cheesecake, ribs or muffins?

The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce would like to extend an open invitation to all good men with a command of the kitchen to participate as a chef at the Men Who Cook event, a fundrasier for the AuSable River Festival. Past man-chefs have been Grayling businessmen, fishermen, doctors, even a 12-year-old man who makes a mean triple-chocolate pie.

The event will be at the Camp Grayling Officer’s Club on Saturday, May 17th, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Your job is to show your chefliness with an appetizer, vegetable or side dish, main dish or a dessert for about 125 people to sample—past years’ delicacies included smoked trout, orange-glazed shrimp, barbecue beef brisket and Uncle Ernie’s Apple Crumb. Tickets for the event are $20.00, on sale mid-April.
