Traverse City’s Hotel Indigo has teamed up with Right Brain Brewery, to present a beer pairing dinner this Thursday, February 9 from 6–9 p.m. at the hotel’s restaurant. They will be serving up a five-course meal with unique beer pairings to go along with each dish. (Ticket sales have ended for this Hotel Indigo pairing dinner. Look for the next event in the series, March 9, with Chateau Chantal.)

The menu for the dinner is inspired by the bright and vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine offering unique pairing options not often found in Northern Michigan. Guests can look forward to:

First Course: Charcuterie and Cheese Board with Baked Brie
Paired with: Cake Walk Cream Ale

Second Course: Northern Indian Salad with Beet Root, Carrot, Onion, Sunflower Seed, Feta, Red Wine Vinaigrette
Paired with: Fire Starter, Chipotle Porter

Third Course: Pineapple Red Curry with Pork and Basmati Rice
Paired with: Will Power, Pale Ale

Fourth Course: Cayenne Beef Punjabi

Fifth Course: Deconstructed Peach Cobbler with Blackberry + Mint Sorbet

The hotel’s food and beverage team worked with Russell Springsteen and Russell Arlt of Right Brian, who first selected the beers, to find the perfect dish to pair with each. The final course features an exclusive first taste of the paired beer, Morat Peach Fritter, before it’s released to the public. This brew was created from a collaboration with Starving Artist Brewing and will be a part of Right Brain Brewery’s Collaboration Day, February 11.
