Wild Game Sausage on Apple Slices with Cranberry Butter

Step up your game-day meal with this easy wild game sausage recipe and a bottle of bubbly.

Ingredients

  • 2–3 tart apples, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 pound elk or venison sausage, sliced
  • 1/4-inch thick
  • 1/2 cup cranberry butter

Preparation

On a cookie sheet, place sausage pieces on apple slices, skewer with toothpicks and broil until sausage browns and bubbles. Serve with cranberry butter.
