Schedule:Full-time

Shift:Night Shift

Hours:7p-7a

Salary Range:$21.40 Commensurate with Experience

Job Details:

  • Operates polysomnographic equipment in order to measurevarious diagnostic sleep parameters. Responsible for all facets of performing sleep studies (i.e., EEG, oximetry, electromyographies)for use by physicians in diagnosing and treatment of Sleep disorders. Reviews patient’s medical charts, explains procedures to patients, and/or families in order to allay anxieties. Elicit cooperation, prepares patients for testing, and maintains equipment. Scores all completed sleep studies for physicians to interpret.Education: Work requires a high school level of educational development and (preferred) Graduate of two year AMA accredited School of Respiratory Care or allied health background will be considered (i.e. LPN, RRT CRTT).Registered Polysomnographic Technician by the BRPT will receive highest consideration. Candidates will be required to complete nationally accredited/recognized program in polysomnography. Registration by the BRPT is expected goal for employee within 18 months. Experience: Allied health experience with (RPSGT, RST) designation ideal. Allied health experience a must. Competent in all facets of patient care. (Sleep experience in an accredited sleep center required).Other Job Requirements:Ability to cope under stress, handle emergency situations, strong mental concentration, math comprehension, problem solving skills, ability to assist patients lifting in/out of wheelchairs, escorting and supporting, good vision, good hearing, sense of touch, manual dexterity, computer skills, experience with digital sleep recording, provides direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, young adult, adult and geriatric patients.
