This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position, approximately 15 hours per week for 16 weeks/semester and may include occasional evening and weekend hours. This position will provide services including: program advising and admission, student recruitment, liaison with regional community colleges, and law enforcement agencies as needed.Â Additionally, this position is expected to teach criminal justice courses in Traverse City and Gaylord (additional compensation is paid for teaching per the adjunct teaching rates.) Other locations may be added as needed.Â The position may have professional responsibilities that may include professional development; participation in curriculum development and university committees; orientation, registration of students, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students); and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance. Co-report to Assistant Director of Off Campus for School of Criminal Justice and the Director for the Northern Region. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.Â Required:Â Masterâs degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related field.Â Must have the necessary academic credentials and work experience to be approved as an adjunct instructor to teach criminal justice courses.Â A Juris Doctorate is not an equivalent degree and will not be considered for this position.Â Five years of criminal justice experience.
