SUMMARY The person in this position can live in the following states: CO, TX, CA or WA. Will work out of home office with large amounts of travel. Devising and implementing sales strategies, forecasting sales, cold calling for potential new customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Knowledge of DoD structure and requirement is critical to working with the customer. Majority of customers will be related DoD. Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources. Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers by phone. Discuss suitability of different types of products and/or applications to meet customers requirements. Quote prices for orders obtained. Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules. Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts. Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database. Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts. Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries. Attend trade shows. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum High School diploma and eight years related experience and/or training; Prior sales experience with DoD required. Noncommissioned officer retired from US Airforce and/or other armed services required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The person in this position can live in the following states: CO,TX, WA, or CA. They will work out of home office with large amounts of travel.
