EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma, a GED or equivalent experience. Previous entry level and basic commercial kitchen skill experience is required with proper verification. Must possess and maintain successful food handling certification or received within one year of employment. Minimum one year of customer service experience is preferred.
The EDR Attendant is primarily responsible for the smooth operation of the employee dining room. The EDR attendant will have basic knowledge of the daily employee menus offered, serve menu foods to their internal guests, have food preparation and handling duties, ensure accurate accounting of meals served is recorded, and that cleaning and sanitation standards for the entire employee dining facility are followed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Greet internal guests in a professional, prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
Dish up and serve foods to employees.
Perform an accurate accounting of all meals served during each meal period.
Handle any internal guest’s comments and concerns in a positive and professional manner while following policy and procedure.
Properly notify the immediate supervisor, manager of any internal guest that is displaying poor behavior.
Communicates with main kitchen staff to keep adequate quantities of foods stocked during service hours.
Monitor food for quality, freshness, and serving life.
Monitor dining area for cleanliness, maintaining a high quality standard for the appearance of the dining area and food serving line including all beverage dispensers, refrigeration units, and dirty dish collecting stations.
Transport dirty dishes to dishwashing area for cleaning.
Clean, rotate and stock foods, china, silverware, and glassware or paper products in the EDR pantry coolers and beverage storage areas.
Clean tables and chairs, sweep and mop EDR floors. Alert supervisor of any maintenance needs or equipment repairs. Ensure employee dining rooms are clean, fresh, and organized.
Maintain buffet food temperature logs.
Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Must have excellent guest service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
Must be self-motivated and be able to work without immediate supervisor present.
Must be highly motivated, organized and able to multiple-task.
Must have excellent organizational skills, and be able to follow procedures.
Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality.
Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information.
Requires some cross training for other positions in front/back of the house as directed by management. Participate in on-going training sessions and staff meetings.Â
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED
Includes but is not limited to knives, basic kitchen equipment and utensils and sandwich grill (Panini Press).

May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for entire shift
Must be able to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry
Must have good grooming habits and manners

Must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud, smoking environment
Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance
Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA and Health Dept.
Must be in work station @ scheduled time and in proper uniform
Must be able to work mornings, days, nights, weekends, holiday’s etc.
Native American and Tribal Preference will apply
Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug urinalysis as a condition of employment
Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked
Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality
