ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate plus 4 – 5 years of office experience. Experience working under varied deadlines and properly prioritizing work to meet those deadlines. Experience working under changing circumstances with multiple interruptions. Ability to work with a team and individually to develop, improve and implement departmental processes and procedures. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and interact in a team oriented environment. Knowledge of PC applications including Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Human Resources office experience highly preferred. ORGANIZATION: This position reports to the Manager of Human Resources and will receive direction from other Human Resources staff. No managerial or supervisory responsibility. Works as a vital member of the Human Resources Department and as such needs to work well as a team player. SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1. Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Healthcare 2. Embraces and supports the Performance Improvement philosophy of Munson Healthcare. 3. Promotes personal and patient safety 4. Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times. 5. Provides exceptional customer service to employees, vendors, management and other internal/external customers. 6. Promptly and professionally responds to questions, communications, telephone calls, etc. directing inquiries to appropriate departments/individuals. Answers questions regarding general human resources procedures and hiring functions. 7. Accountable for the accuracy and timely completion of all documents necessary for new hires to begin employment. 8. Schedules employee health screens and other appointments necessary to begin employment. 9. Conducts background check, fraud check, license and education verification and fingerprinting per hospital guidelines 10. Schedules new hire appointments including employee health screens and other appointments necessary to begin employment. 11. Processes and prepares new hire paperwork including data entry of all new hires into database and Position Manager per hospital guidelines. 12. Coordinates new hire process with the hiring manager and recruiter, with a high emphasis on customer care. 13. Prepares name badges for new hires and other badge requests as required. 14. Tracks and enters new hire drug screen, safety packet, background check and education verification into database ensuring required items have been completed per hospital guidelines. 15. Works with Staff Development to schedule RN/NA orientation. 16. Adheres to Purchasing Department requirements for use of departmental credit card. 17. Prepares correspondence for Human Resources staff as requested. Must recognize priorities and alter work sequence to meet conditions. 18. Prepares Employee Identification badges. 19. Maintains a neat and orderly working/reception area. 20. Distributes all office mail. 21. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
