Heather Shumaker, author of “It’s OK Not to Share…and Other Renegade Rules” breaks down age-old parenting conventions and offers new ideas based on child development and emerging neuroscience. Join Heather and Maggie Sprattmoran, Executive Director of the Leelanau Children’s Center, for an evening of discussion and insight. Learn counterintuitive ideas about sharing, saying ‘sorry,’ coping with angry outbursts, rough play, toy weapons and other topics.

PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, TEACHERS, POLICY MAKERS and other CAREGIVERS who work with young children ages 2-6 all welcome.
