9:00 am – PADDLE THE PLATTE
Enjoy an easy four-mile paddle down the lower Platte River to discover the wonders of wetlands. Bring your own canoe/kayak
or rent one locally.
Reservations required: call (231) 326-4700 x5005 at least 2 hours before program. Arrive 15 minutes early. Meet at the sheltered Platte River Picnic Area /Boat Launch near M-22 Bridge 10 miles south of Empire, 4 miles, 2.5 hours.

3:00 pm – HEROES OF THE STORM
This re-enactment of a turn-of-the-century shipwreck rescue is designed for children of all ages.
Maritime Museum, Glen Haven, 30 min.

7:00 pm – PHOTO FUN HUNT
Employ your creativity through a photography scavenger hunt
as you learn about the biodiversity of Sleeping Bear Dunes on an
interactive hike.
Empire Bluff Trail, 1.5 miles, 1hr 15min.

7:00 pm – PORT ONEIDA HISTORICAL BIKE TOUR
Take a leisurely bike tour past historic barns and fields and
hear about the history of the Port Oneida area. Route will be
on gravel road and Heritage Trail.
Kelderhouse Farm on Port Oneida Rd, 4 miles north of Glen Arbor, 4.5 miles, 1.5-2 hours.

8:00 pm – TWILIGHT TALKS
Learn more about the fascinating aspects of Sleeping Bear
Dunes’ natural and cultural wonders in a nightly presentation.
Inquire at the Phillip A. Hart Visitor Center or campground
bulletin boards for the night’s subject.
DH Day Campground Amphitheater and Platte River Campground Amphitheater, 45 min.
