The Leelanau Community Cultural Center at the Old Art Building is proud to present an original holiday production created by Susan Oliver and Norm Wheeler, titled Tis the Season…Songs & Stories of Christmas. The production will be performed at the Old Art Building on December 20, at 7 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults/$5 for children and are available online at mynorthtickets.com and oldartbuilding.com.
Six Christmas tales, from humorous to heart-warming, from far and from near, will be read by the consummate local perforers–Scott Craig, Rose Hollander, Anne-Marie Oomen, Norm Wheeler, and Charley Peterson. The presentation of holiday tunes, will be performed by Paul Koss, Louan LEchler, Patrick Niemisto, and Norm Wheeler. Dances will be performed by Carol Bawden and Hunter Bell. All in all an evening that will send you humming joyfully home.
The stories will include pieces by Calvin Trillin and O Henry (not the one you may think!) and humorous tales from local writers, Scott Craig and Anne-Marie Oomen. The story written by Ms. Oomen, soon to be published in her new book, will be making its first public “appearance” in this production.
Start the Christmas week off with a fun-filled night that will get your heart and soul into the spirit of the holiday season!
