For one night only, the glitz and glamor of Broadway will be front an center in downtown Traverse City. On Friday, April 11th, the City Opera House will host The Broadway Dolls, a quintet of powerhouse vocalists and dancers with résumés full of Broadway musical appearances.
Having starred in the casts of musicals like Mamma Mia, Chicago, Rock of Ages, Jersey Boys and Hairspray, the Broadway Dolls’ performance will feature both Broadway favorites and the best of pop radio; the show is perfect for fans of Broadway, dance and pop music. An interactive pre-show called “Dolls Night Out” will kick off the night, where concert-goers can learn choreography and songs from the show. An audience member will also be selected to participate in the show during a rendition of a tune from Wicked; the audience member will star as the character Elphaba.
The production displays the power of song and features positive female role models—it’s perfect for all the young, aspiring songstresses in Northern Michigan.
