Three local businesses are partnering to celebrate the arrival of spring: ELF | eat learn frolic, Life and Whim, and The Little Fleet. Historically, May 1 was marked by festivities welcoming the new season and nature’s rebirth after a winter slumber. This trio looks forward to reinvigorating – and reinventing – the celebration!
For its first major public event, ELF has teamed with new lifestyle blog, Life and Whim, and popular restaurant, The Little Fleet, to celebrate spring in style with Spring Fairy Fling on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 12pm – 4pm. The day’s activities will include the introduction of a new enchanted forest in The Commons – Fairy Trails, local musicians leading a Maypole dance, food from ELF, and beverages from The Little Fleet.
What is Fairy Trails? Multiple local artists will be constructing and installing Fairy Houses on the Cathedral Trail at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons just in time for the May 1 celebration. The Fairy Houses are intended to last through many seasons and grow in number as more creative fairy enthusiasts build miniature abodes for sprites. Maps will be available at ELF for easy trail exploration; fun for kids of all ages.
There is no cost to attend this family-friendly affair but food and beverages are available for purchase. For more information and the latest updates, visit fairytrailstc.com. Want to create a fairy house? Contact ELF at 231 943 2272 or [email protected] for more details. Join in the Spring Fairy Fling on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at and around ELF!
