Come out and see why GTRLC & Long Lake Township are actively working to protect this beautiful and diverse property. The group will explore wetlands, streams, inland lakes, upland forest & open fields and take in views of beautiful Long Lake from one of the last undeveloped stretches of shore. This is a great way to see an incredible property close to Traverse City while learning about its history, environmental value, land protection story and what is currently being done to protect the property.
The hike/ski will be relatively easy and approx 2-3 miles in length. Please bring your own snowshoes/skis & dress for the weather. This is not a dog friendly event.
Directions: Please turn on Timbers Trail and follow conservancy signs to the parking area –http://goo.gl/maps/mcqVb
