Grow Benzie will be hosting a party for the startup of its Incubator Kitchen . The party celebrates the growth of locally made food products and businesses. An evening of live music, food samplings, and presentations by emerging food product entrepreneurs is planned.
All are welcome to attend and join the celebration. Whether you attended one workshop from the Grow Benzie Incubator Kitchen “Making It Count” series, all of the workshops or missed them all , you are most welcome to come!
Music will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by a potluck dinner along with samplings of various food products at 5:30 p.m. Presentations by emerging food entrepreneurs will begin at 6:30.
Professional musicians, Ann-Marie and Michael Parson-McNamara of AMPM247, will provide live music. Those with food product ideas are encouraged to share a food product they might be interested in or already are making and want to bring it to market.
Deb Nickerson of Betsie Bay Bread will share her story of getting her bakery business started at the incubator kitchen. Tracey Scheifele of In Great Taste will share her story of the hot fudge sauce coming to a market near you soon. David and Summer of The Bacon Berry plan to share highlights of the opening of their food truck business.
The evening will include several raffles: one for a gift certificate for packaging materials from T.M. Klein and Son. Other raffles include two gift certificates for kitchen time at the Grow Benzie Incubator Kitchen, and a raffle bag including items from Betsie Bay Bread, Wee Bee Jammin’, Pickle Print, and more.
There is no charge for the evening; donations are welcome. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass along with their own table service.
