The event is co-sponsored by Suttons Bay Community, SEEDS After School, the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and Suttons Bay Public Schools. Students from Suttons Bay High School and the SEEDS After School program host the 4th annual Pow Wow to celebrate this year’s high school graduates.
This Jiingtamok is one of only a few that are organized by youth to celebrate youth. The whole community is invited and encouraged to attend this all ages, family-friendly event. All singers and drums are welcome! The Pow Wow features alumni and students and includes traditional drumming and dancing as well as delicious food and great company.

1:30: The first grand entry, which includes a speaker on the cultural significance of the Pow Wow, drumming and dancing and the honoring of the graduates
4:30pm: A free traditional Native American Feast
6pm: The second grand entry
Suttons Bay is the sweet little village about 15 miles north of Traverse City on M-22.
