Husbands, Wives, and Other Strangers asks the question: How well do we know our neighbors or even those closest to us? The Old Town Playhouse’s senior readers’ theater group, Aged to Perfection, presents three one-act plays exploring the mysteries of whom we can trust. Performances are Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24, at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, June 25, at 2:00 pm in the Studio Theatre @ the Depot.

Synopsis:

In “The Goofy Groom” from The Thin Man radio program, Nick and Nora Charles investigate who is trying to kill their friend and his new bride, with comic results. The classic drama, Trifles, by Susan Glaspell presents us with a man murdered in his bed. Although his wife is the obvious suspect, can the evidence and motives be found to prove her guilt? And from the radio comedy, The Fabulous Dr. Tweedy, when Dr. Tweedy, PhD, attempts to evict a homeless gent living on the fringes of his college, does his soft heart and trusting nature lead to betrayal?

Admission is by goodwill donation. For more information, call (231) 947-2210 or visit www.oldtownplayhouse.com. The Studio Theatre @ the Depot is located at 620 Railroad Place, Traverse City, Michigan 49686, just across the tracks from the library.
