Oliver Art Center invites artists to submit work for the 2017 All-Media Juried Exhibition, taking place September 15 – October 13. Three awards of excellence will be presented at the opening reception: Gold $1000, Silver $700, and Bronze $300. Entries are due to the art center between Saturday, September 9 from 10am-4pm and Sunday, September 10 from Noon – 4pm. Entry forms are available at Oliver Art Center and posted online.

The 2017 jurors are Megan Hildebrant and Peter Abrami.

Megan was born in Detroit. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Stamps School of Art & Design in 2006, and her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of South Florida in 2012. Hildebrandt has exhibited nationally and internationally, including: The Painting Center, New American Paintings, The Baltimore Museum of Art, The Museum of Contemporary Craft, Arlington Arts Center, Detroit Contemporary, HEREarts Center, Latitude 53, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, the LIVESTRONG Foundation, and the Michigan Institute of Contemporary Art. An artist, educator, cancer survivor and arts-in-health advocate, Hildebrandt currently lives and works in Interlochen, Michigan where she teaches Painting, Digital Media and Community Outreach at Interlochen Fine Arts Boarding Academy.

Peter Abrami, was born in Brooklyn, New York, 1985. He earned a B.F.A. in painting at the University of South Florida (2010), and a M.F.A. in painting from University of Texas Austin (2015). Peter has exhibited paintings both nationally and internationally in both group and solo exhibitions. Select exhibitions include: La Guardia Community College, Queens, New York; BRIC, Brooklyn, New York; The Royal College of Art in London; School 33 in Baltimore, Maryland; David Shelton gallery in Houston, Texas; and Atlantic Center for The Arts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Peter currently lives in Interlochen, Michigan, with his wife and daughter.
