North Central Michigan College’s Corporate and Community Education department is offering spring farming and gardening workshops in Petoskey. All workshops are held in Room 536 in the Student and Community Resource Center.

On Tuesday, April 18 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Trevor Newman, co-founder of Roots to Fruits, LLC, will guide us in exploring ways to fit fruit trees and berry bushes into the landscape when space is a constraint. We’ll explore vertical gardening techniques and ways to train fruiting plants like cordon and espalier. Great for the urban gardener and homesteader alike! Cost is $20.

Please register for workshops in advance. For more information or to register, visit email [email protected] or call 231-348-6613. CCE also offers customized workshops at your business. We’ll tailor the content, materials, and schedule to your needs.
