North Central Michigan College’s Corporate and Community Education department is offering spring farming and gardening workshops in Petoskey. All workshops are held in Room 536 in the Student and Community Resource Center.

Interested in planning and planting a medicinal and culinary herb garden? Gretchen and Jospeh VanLoozen will show you how on Wednesday, April 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Learn how to start seeds, transplant, and place herbs that you can use in foods, teas, tinctures, and more. Leave with a plan for your herb garden. Instructor Gretchen VanLoozen, UM Environmental Science, is an organic and biodynamic farmer and energy medicine practitioner. Joseph VanLoozen is a garden designer and landscaper and an organic and biodynamic farmer. Cost is $20.
