9:00 am – BIRDING 101
If the early bird gets the worm, how early do birders have to get up? We’ll walk, look, and listen along Otter Creek to learn the basics of birding, identify birds, and gain insight into their lives.
Esch Beach at west end of Esch Road, 4 miles south of Empire, less than a mile,1 hour.

11:00 am – JUNIOR RANGERS 101
Learn the basics about being a Junior Ranger, and work toward
earning your patch. Each program will highlight a different special person, place, or thing Junior Rangers help the park to protect.
DH Day Log Cabin in DH Day Campground, 45 min.

3 :00 pm – HEROES OF THE STORM
This re-enactment of a turn-of-the-century shipwreck rescue is designed for children of all ages.
Maritime Museum, Glen Haven, 30 min.

4:00 pm – GLEN HAVEN: STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE
Share your curiosity of this once bustling historic village as we peek in its buildings and uncover their stories.
Cannery, Glen Haven, .5 mile, 1.5 hours.

8:00 pm – TWILIGHT TALKS
Learn more about the fascinating aspects of Sleeping Bear Dunes’ natural and cultural wonders in a nightly presentation. Inquire at the Phillip A. Hart Visitor Center or campground bulletin boards for the night’s subject.
