The Kingsley Branch Library invites you to attend our “Monarch Butterfly Release Program”, Thursday, August 25th, from 1-2pm at the Kingsley Branch of the Traverse Area District Library, 213 S. Brownson, Kingsley, MI. The program begins in the Community Room for discussion, a short video presentation, and an opportunity to hold a Monarch. Then we move outside to the Children’s Garden to release the Monarchs. Special guests Mary Ludwick, Children’s Garden registrant for our “International Monarch Way Station” and *Emily Cook, Outreach Specialist with the Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network, will be on hand to answer questions. A fun program for all ages!!

*Emily Cook is the Outreach Specialist with the Northwest Michigan Invasive Species Network. With a love for the outdoors from an early age, she obtained her B.S. in Natural Resources Management from Grand Valley State University. Her background includes field-related invasive species management, non-profit administration, and environmental education.
