Come join Lisa Avebury, healer, self proclaimed introvert activist and creator of Sacred Introvert Retreat Tours, to find out a bit more about what makes introverts unique and special. We’ll also debunk some myths about introverts along the way. Introverts are natural meditators. Their propensity towards quiet and peace means they are drawn to a practice that promises to provide a sense of portable home wherever they are. Because they often live in their minds the monkey chatter that exists has a more difficult time shutting off and they often shut down within our hyper stimulated society. In this workshop, we will uncover a few practical tools to honor you if you are an introvert, or to help you understand introverts better, if you are not. This workshop will begin with a short Kundalini Yoga Kriya led by Amy Smart.
Self proclaimed “introvert activist” Lisa Avebury created Sacred Introvert in 2013 as a way of empowering introverts, educating non-introverts and smashing stereotypes that have followed the term introvert since it’s inception. Lisa created the first travel experience for introverts the “Sacred Introvert Retreat Tour”. Over 15 national and international publications including the New York Times, The Guardian, Huffington Post, USA Today, Haute Living and Yahoo Travel covered the inaugural tour to England’s West Country in 2015. Lisa is a NY transplant to Los Angeles where she has done healing work, bodywork, taught meditation and yoga and helped rescue animals for over 20 years.
