This three part class will explore issues facing food production and hunger around the world.
January 12:Food Security: What does it mean to a world of 9 billion people?
January 19:Genetically Modified (Engineered) Crops: Are they “Frankenfood” or the key to feeding the hungry world?
January 26:“Certified Organic”: Are they really healthier and can they sustainably feed a hungry world?
The Lifelong Learning Program is a project initiated by the Friends of the Library as a means of providing an academic program, offering an opportunity to develop a greater understanding of topics and issues that impact all of us. The Friends will be offering four classes in the winter. All classes are free due to the generous support of the Leo S. Guthman Fund. Registration is required.
