This is the perfect program just before Banned Books Week!  Lawrence Berkove is an internationally known scholar of American literature of the 19th and 20th centuries and is recognized as an authority on Jack London.  Jack London’s books, Call of the Wild and White Fang are just a few banned books that have a profound effect on American life according to the Library of Congress.  Come listen to a professor emeritus of English and American literature from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.  Understand why Jack London was such a powerful writer and his importance in American Literature.  Let’s learn something about what we are reading!
