Join Jill for a visit to Drummond Island!  Jill Brumwell, author of four books and who writes regularly for several publications including Michigan History Magazine and the Mackinac Journal, will be here to take us on a journey of the history on Drummond Island.  Once known as Pontaganipy by Native Americans and High Island by the French Voyageurs, the history of Drummond Island will be told in narration and a slide presentation by Jill Brumwell.  Learn about the British occupation from 1815 to 1828 and the arrival of the first white settlers in 1853, who fled the Mormon colony on Beaver Island governed by King Strang. Lots of history on this island from an amazing presenter. Come see, listen and learn history
