Community Potluck and Program Series: Got Apples? Make (hard) Cider!
The event begins at noon with a potluck lunch in the Wagbo farmhouse. Bring a dish to pass if you are able. The program begins at 1pm.
Homebrewer Keith Kintigh provides an introduction to the art of making “hard” cider. Discussion includes history of cider making, the role of apple varieties and the importance of yeast choice. And you can TASTE the difference while you’re here!
This is the perfect opportunity to find a delicious use for the abundance of apples that we have seen in Northwest Lower Michigan this year.
The event is free, donations appreciated. Pre-register for this informative program by phone, email, or facebook message.
The Martha Wagbo Farm and Education Center is located at 5745 North M-66, three miles south of East Jordan and just north of Kidder Rd.
