Meets in the Armstrong Conference Room
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking: Monday, June 20 • 6:00 pm
It’s hard to believe, in this world of social media and reality TV, that one-third to one-half of Americans are introverts. Yet being an introvert has become a social stigma. Author Susan Cain, a former corporate lawyer and negotiations consultant — and a self-described introvert — explores the fundamental differences between extroverts and introverts and offers sensible advice on strategies that introverts can use to succeed in a society that operates within a value system she calls the “Extrovert Ideal”.
