A one of a kind bike tour that has become a tradition for many bikers in Michigan and in surrounding states. Over 300 participants celebrate a 25, 50, 75 or 100 mile bike tour along the shores of Lake Michigan.
The routes are clearly marked and a number of rest areas dot the course. SAG Safety Wagons also circle the route to ensure safety for riders.
The Saturday tour begins at the Mackinaw City Recreation Center. Participants depart between 7-10am depending on route taken. Registration fee includes tour, and is held at the Recreation Center on Friday from 1-8pm and Saturday, September 15th from 7-10am.
For the most breathtaking ride of the season, complete the weekend with a tour across the Mackinac Bridge on Sunday. The tour begins promptly at 7am from the Fort Michilimackinac parking lot. This is a one way tour. Bikers continue to the Arnold Mackinac Island Ferry Dock in St.Ignace and are transported back to Mackinaw City.
Only 400 riders are allowed for the bridge ride, so advance registration is required. You must be 13 years of age or older to participate and all riders must wear helmets.
Mackinaw City, on I-75, is at the very tip of Michigan’s mitt, the last stop before crossing the Mackinac Bridge.
