On Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at noon in the lower level of the Leelanau County Government Center the League of Women Voters Leelanau County will host a forum entitled  “Are You Prepared for an Emergency in Leelanau County?”  Panelists Matt Ansorge, Director of Emergency Management, Sheriff Mike Borkovich, April Missais, Director of Senior Services and Jim Reardon, Emergency Coordinator for the Benzie/Leelanau Health Department will advise Leelanau residents how to be prepared for all types of emergencies – health, weather or crime related – and how to deal with the problems that could occur.  The panelists will also discuss how local organizations and agencies coordinate their responses to dangerous, unexpected events.  Join the League as we learn how Leelanau County officials work together to benefit us.  The public is invited to the presentation. Many people bring a sack lunch.  A LWVLC business meeting will follow the presentation.
