Join On The Ground for An Evening of Global Solidarity to support Virunga National Park, the embattled home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas and the only place inhabited by all three African great ape species. Featuring Emmanuel de Merode, the park’s internationally-renowned Chief Warden and Director, highlighting the current condition and daunting struggles of Africa’s oldest national park with special guest Whitney Williams. This event follows Thursday’s showing of the documentary “Virunga” at the Traverse City Film Festival. Light appetizers will be available along with wine and craft beer tastings.
