Experience what goes on at a Michigan Maple sugar bush during one of three weekends in March, at various locations across the state. The trees will be tapped and the syrup flowing; see how it is harvested and made into great tasting syrup! Other products made on-site include maple candy, maple cream, maple sugar and so much more! Meet the sugar makers and support local businesses. Purchase some of the great flavors to enjoy at home.
Southern Michigan: March 14 & 15
Located below US 11, Southern Michigan farms are the first to have the sap running. Stop in and get a tour and the first taste of this years maple products!
Northern Lower Michigan: March 21 & 22
Above US 10 and below the bridge is next. Visit 8 sugar bushes from Charlevoix to West Branch and Mio!
Michigan’s Upper Peninsula: March 28 & 29
Time to cross the Mackinaw Bridge. Bring the family to all 6 sugar shacks and sample the best syrup the UP has to offer.
